- Apostle of Nurgle in Hunt/Assassination
I tried doing a few Uther's Tarot missions hunting for ranged weapons. Obviously all of them was Nurgle infested, and all were hunt/Assassination type. And one thing that made those missions almost impossible to beat is Apostle of Nurgle as a target. Regular Apostles are a threat, but can be dealt with. But those marked as targets gain a huge permanent HP regen. And when I am saying huge - it's on a level where a 300+ DPS weapon can't bring Apostle down because he heals faster than gun deals damage. A purple heavy flamer that has stated 1000 DPS (probably a misinformation) and deals DoT on top of it can't kill it, you need a help from sentry gun. Eviscerators, Gravguns, Plasmaguns, Heavy Bolters - all fail to kill it on it's own and require a heavy DoT or fire support from sentry gun just to beat that insane healing. And that's without him casting a healing pool on itself.

It was very frustrating, but still manageable. What a nice twist, but still should be thought again.
I have the same experience. Fortunately I had had my heavy bolt, which made it a little easier.
The best thing that happened so far is a Warpgate, which was in the Nurgel Maisma and thus automatically healed and that extremely fast. The villains did not make it any easier.
As last post said use a heavy boltor if you have it an the explosive rounds so your #2 key to keep knocking him down. I have not met a boss in tarot i could not kill all be it i haven't done many of those. Grenade launcher also works. as long s it has explosive knock down effect i fine i am able to kill mobs that otherwise just spraying at i cannot.
Apparently you missed part where I said it's not your regular Apostle, and part where I said that I tried HB as well. Knocking him down is pointless as it does not stop permanent HP regen that is always on 100% of time. That's what separates him from regular Apostles you meet in battle. HB's and Grenade Launcher's DPS is too low, he heals faster than you damage him with those weapons even in knocked down/ stunned state.
I melt them with an Eviscerator. My current tactic is Stun Grendade, Assault Jump, Spinning Strike for the Knockdown, Then Sweeping Strikes, then Hold down LMB for finish. That combo finishes every mob besides Dreadnaughts.

I melt them with an Eviscerator. My current tactic is Stun Grendade, Assault Jump, Spinning Strike for the Knockdown, Then Sweeping Strikes, then Hold down LMB for finish. That combo finishes every mob besides Dreadnaughts.
