I have the game for PS4

Myself and two other gamers have experienced issues with the mail system in game. We have sent items and cannot receive them. The new mail icon is illuminated on both the mailbox on the bridge and when a mission is complete, but the mail box is empty.  The open mail button is subdued. See attached images. Please advise? Thank you.
