Sniper shot broken now.

So when holding the button for sniper shot (normal sniper rifle) down I can no longer select a body part. Where on the "wheel" each part is now seems to be random, and it just goes round and round. The whole idea of my build is to hit em with a fully (or at least mostly) charged head shot (the ones that have a head anyway). The new roulete wheel style of body part selection is crap and needs to be undone imho. I also dont even get to selcet on enemies like space marines anymore, which hinders me greatly.

I would also like the base sniper rifles dot back, but am fine with it as is if sniper shot would work properly.

again, nagging. if you go for dmg, you will use the skillpoint for added dmg on headshots and ALWAYS go full charged and aim for the head. Shooting of bodyparts is a tactical feature, and noone hinders you to release the key when the wheel is highlighting that bodyparts. That this will only be possible with full charged shots is a pure speculation on your part (and the whole Aimingwheel-thing would make no sense in its current iteration). Do you think or want to imply the devs are dumb or something?

There is this Video where an arm is shot of a model. It would be pretty sad if this won't work in the future because we can't do fully charged aimed shots for other parts then a head. The thing is called Aimed shot for a reason I think and you should be able to hit a fully charged shot where you aim it and not where a wheel tells you to.

except you CANT do a fully charged headshot this way ATM. Reskill fast aim and you will have a fully charged headshot again. Workaround for now, im sure its not intended to work that way...

I have taken the fast aim, so can do a fully charged headshot in 2 seconds instead of 3. Was great. Now it doesn't land on head when fully charged, it's random what I get. I Have also taken the +dmg for head shots, these should be complementary.


@Airsick hydra Punishing me if I release it early is breaking the skill. I should pick what I aim for, and be able to aim for as long or as little as time allows, while hitting that target. the roulete wheel sucks and it needs to go back to it's original form. Or even better, let me click with the mouse what I want then when I release the skill button it hits there, that would be great. Even the old system had a habit if suddenly changing, but my mouse is very sensitive so pretty sure it was mostly a me problem.

have you taken the "fast aim"-skill in the aimed shots-skilltree? if you do so it really doesnt end with a headshot anymore and its rather unpredictable... but you only safe a second in the aiming-process, so i think if you go for headshots anyways, dont take that skill?

Take the time to look, the starting position of headshot is random but the mouse cursor is also fixed to it. If you hold it for 3x seconds you get a headshot 100% of the time with 6x damage 100% of the time. 



The only difference is that if you release it too early you get a little punished. But for a fully charged shot it's completely functional. There's some calls that it doesn't always headshot... But I've used snipers for about 10+ missions now and i'd say 100/100 times after charging it for 3x seconds, it works consistently. Folk just need to stop knee-jerk panicking and analyse what's changed.
