Quick Gameplay Feedback based on Alpha/Early Access
Warhammer 40K FeedbackHi Neocore,
Excited to see a team trying to bring WH40k to life. A couple thoughts on a couple of hours with the game so far:
Good stuff:
-I love the ability to change weapon sets on the fly and experiment. I think that's great so that players don't get locked into choices too early.
-I like all the terrain destruction and effects so far, at least for an alpha.
Feedback:
-From a visual perspective, because WH40K tends to be... gray, the game doesn't visually pop for me. I have trouble distinguishing my grey armor vs my grey background vs the grey guys who are attacking me. I'm not a VFX person but maybe there are ways for certain things to 'pop' more off the screen to give the game a more stunning look.
-Ranged gameplay is... interesting. I wish there was a way to balance the inevitable 'kiting' and retreating vs getting the characters hands a little dirty. Inevitably, I'll shoot some bad guys and then fall back to cover and move from cover to cover killing bad guys as they chase after me blindly. I think there's some way to fix this gameplay to make it more dynamic either with better AI or game play mechanisms that encourage you to push forward.

Fair review, any feed back is great. However I disagree with the last paragraph. There is way to much reason to push forward as it is. Rewards and speed are the more than enough reason. Most ARPG's reward speed running(not speed clearing) way to well. I want one that rewards you for tactical play and clearing everything as most class 'trash' as just that, to be left out. I:M is the only ARPG i have played that has even thought of this kind of play and want it stay/get more of it.
