As long as I am able to walk/run wherever in that world which is open to me and the world I inhabit is HUGE, I can also do pretty much whatever I may want to, then I can´t agree when some say that the Devs are lying to us that the game is Open World. And when I also can group up with a cpl other players to roam around with to explore a HUGE world together, I don´t understand why some say that the Developers are lying.
If areas explored are the size of Countries like Unitd Kingdom, Germany, Denmark and so on, why wouldn´t it be considered Open World? Comparing areas with size of Countries is a bit to chew on perhaps, but I know it is perfectly possible to make Areas that are that big. It has been done. And besides later in thsi game there will be availabale other Planets and Areas to visit. So why not?

"Video games with open or free-roaming worlds typically lack the invisible walls and loading screens common in linear level designs. Generally, open world games still enforce many restrictions in the game environment, either because of absolute technical limitations or in-game limitations imposed by a game's linearity.[4] Examples of high level of autonomy in computer games can be found in massively multiplayer online role-playing games (MMORPG) or in single-player games adhering to the open world concept such as the Fallout series. The main appeal of open world gameplay is that they provide a simulated reality and allow players to develop their character and its behavior in the direction of their choosing. In these cases, there is often no concrete goal or end to the game."
This game nothing to do with the open world in any way. Why devs lie?
The game is always instanced and limited to a few players at most in a group, this is the very definition of "not an open world".
I don't care too much, but I frown upon the use of this term for the obviously sole purpose of lying to potential customers and luring them in with those false promises.
You could have easily worded this like "A vast world to explore" or something like this, to prevent any misunderstanding, but this was clearly not the intention.
In my opinion Inquisitor is kind of an open world game, because you can go where you want and do, what you want. You are not forced to play the game in a specific order....although it is reasonable to play each sector with the fitting power level.
Set this current order state as My default.
