NETWORK ERROR
Van Helsing Support AreaI just bought and installed the game, created a fresh account etc.. But i couldn't get past the login screen. I keep getting "Networrk Error" message every time i try and i have read every post here and there about it. Nothing seems to work. Anyone having the same issue? What is this? How can i login to my account in-game?

How much more time is this error going to take to fix ?
2019 and still the same problem
None of solutions worked here
Seems like developers don't give a sh*t
This error is serious!
One example: http://steamcommunity.com/gid/103582791439726668/announcements/detail/233465047947990531
But the devloper seems to give a fuck ... when i do some research this error exists for nearly 1,5 years now ...
And it is not about wrong eMail or unconfirmed account (as many comments below are about). I created my account some days ago and i also suffer the network error. Even if i completely disable my hardware firewall and are vulnerable to everything from the internet it is impossible for the game (FINAL CUT) to connect.
When so many people have this BUG and didn't have it before the latest patch (see the link), then you SHOULD RETHINK HOW YOU BEHAVE TOWARDS YOUR CUSTOMERS ignoring that fact for almost an eternity ...
I have the same problem. It seems that no one can log in. And it is an old issue that neocore does not fix.
Still no fix? Having this problem in my Mac..Though, I can still play in my windows desktop.
We have analyzed the Final Cut accounts that give a Network Error message, and we found that many of them do that because:
- The user created the Neocore Account in-game and did not wait for the confirmation email. This will cause Network Error until you verify your email address.
- Solution A: Exit the game and search for the verification email (check spam folder too), verify, then restart the game
- Solution B: Create an account at neocoregames.com (you can stay within the game), verify it (check the spam folder) and it should be fine.
If you did create an account from the game, you won't be able to login at neocoregames.com until you have verified your account.
If you did not create an account in the game, you can of course create the account at neocoregames.com as stated in Solution B.
Also, you can use alternative email addresses to create different accounts as well.
-> I simply don't understand the difference, completely created the account outside of the game initially.
no response .... i'm interesting to buy deathtrap but if you can't find a solution for van helsing i can't buy any another game of this company ....
However, accroding to your advice.....
It works! Yes, I can login just using gmail.com e-mail. lol
You guys in same problem, try gmail.com
Thx, bro :)
Still no damn fix to this?.. Bought this game recently on Steam.. spent over 1h in the main menu.. cant log in since start..
Not fixed yet?
same problem, no change ... network error
I read a solution in another blog that worked for me.
You have to change your email if it is not gmail, in my case, I was using hotmail, I changed the email from the neocore site, I followed some steps and when I tried to log in from the game, it worked!!!
It sounds stupid I know, but works
- Exit the game
- Hit Win+R
- Type in regedit and hit Enter
- Navigate to HKEY_CURRENT_USER/SOFTWARE/NeocoreGames/Warhammer
- Delete everything there
- Restart the game
And on Mac ? Because i play on iMac ;)
zzzzzzzzzzzz
I know I am already late here, but today I got the same issue (network error while trying to login) and i think i found the problem.
Your password should not exceed 11 signs .
Hope it will help.
Sorry for necro that old thread.
Same probleme here ... i had a legacy account, i upgrade my account but no change, same network error ....
still no fix ='(
this is extremelly dissapointing...
edit: one thing I'd like to add, not only do you lose half the value of the game because you can't play online, also, I couldn't find a way to choose "play offline" with a controller, only "login" option and the game HAS to either be in keyboard or controller mode, and so...you get the picture, you just can't play with a controller (since you can't get past the login popup)
sooooooooooooooooooooooo very dissapointing...
uninstall van hellsing...install victor vran...here we go

For 4 days i cannot log in its like screen just freezes
Hiya,
online play isn't supported for Van Helsing anymore (and as such, login to your account isn't needed either), you can however still play the game offline. If it's your character you are after, please refer to this article about how you can get them back.

Cheers!
Sorry for the late response. Try this fix, I hope it helps.
1.Open Finder and go up to the top menu. Click Go and then click Home.
2. Go back up to the top menu and click View. Then click View and then click “Show View Options”
3. Make sure “Show Library Folder” has a check mark beside it. The Home window will now display the Library folder which is typically hidden by default.
4. Go back to the Home window and double click Library.
5. Double click Application Support.
6. Double click Steam.
7. Double click steamapps.
8. Double click common.
9. Double click The Incredible Adventures of Van Helsing.
10. Right click libsteam_api.dylib and click Duplicate.
11. Rename the duplicated file to libsteam.dylib
Set this current order state as My default.
