- Melee Weapons look small and feel weak
So melee is one of the key things in warhammer. I feel the current player melee weapons visuals and effects are way to
Size - they look small. Small compared to your character, all of the other weapons and the shield, half of the enemy weapons, and above all - any original GW model ever made, or any WH game I have ever played. It is especially prominent with the 2 handed weapons - the greatsword, the eviscerator and the thunder hammer look like the 1 handed version you hold with two hands, they barely extend enough and you look rather stupid with any of them equipped.
Effects - or the lack of. Most attacks currently feel weightless, like this is just a piece of metal, not a power weapon. There should be better visual and sound effects to add "weight" to your attacks (especially standard attacks) and make them feel as strong as the numbers. Half of the time I can just as well be a Jedi swinging a sword made of light that effortlessly cuts (and explodes?) enemies.

I wanted to suscribe to this suggestion.
So far I am having tons of fun with the melee combat in the game, but as the OP suggest the weapons feel weightless.
I don't feel the visuals are so far off, maybe a bit on the size but not much. But definitely the sound need a revamp. Is like I'm hitting air, additionally some of the power or chain versions lack the motor or surge sounds that should accompany every attack.
I will love to hear a deafening roar from a two handed chain blade and the accompany chopping and wet sound of the impact.
So far, keep up with an amazing work!
audio for wepaons hasn't been added yet, alongside finished animation (confirmed by devs) - some of these changes are in the next patch! - not long to wait.
Agree, thunder hammer is no way big enough.

Oh, good to know. Thanks for sharing.
Anyway, the suggestion still applies for when the sound gets recorded and implemented.
I agree. My powersword is gladius sized. It's weird looking.
Set this current order state as My default.
