Inquisitor - Prophecy:
Detailed FAQ for Consoles
Warhammer 40K NewsInquisitors!
As the big expansion to Martyr is releasing on the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, we decided to collect the most frequently asked questions about Warhammer 40,000: Inquisitor - Prophecy, and answer them directly.
When is the expansion DLC coming?
Warhammer 40,000: Inquisitor - Prophecy is coming to PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on February 13, 2020. There'll be a brief maintenance on consoles before the release.
How much will the expansion DLC cost?
It'll be $19.99 on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
Will it be possible to play Inquisitor - Prophecy without Inquisitor - Martyr?
No. While it is possible on PC, Inquisitor - Prophecy will be an expansion DLC on consoles. Players will need Inquisitor - Martyr in order to play Inquisitor - Prophecy.
Will there be a new playable class?
A new playable class is coming to Inquisitor - Prophecy: The Tech-Adept Inquisitor. It's a summoner class with new unique abilities, a unique skill-tree and various new melee and ranged builds.
Will there be new story chapters?
Yes. Inquisitor - Prophecy will continue the story of Inquisitor - Martyr with three new chapters. The first chapter will be exclusive to the Tech-Adept as an introductory chapter to the new class. In it, the Tech-Adept catches up to the story of the base game. The second and the third chapters will be available to all classes, but Crusaders, Assassins and Psykers will be able to play these once they finished Inquisitor - Martyr's story campaign.
Will there be new map settings and races?
The new map settings (Monastery, Factory, Desert, Death World) and enemy factions (Eldar, Tyranid) added in the 2.0 update will be present throughout the story campaign of Inquisitor - Prophecy.
What other new features will be exclusive to Inquisitor - Prophecy?
Besides the new class, new story chapters and new settings, we'll introduce a new subsector, new items, passive skills and new perks.
Are there any new console-exclusive features coming to the game with Prophecy?
Due to the nature of console controls, we will be adding some quality-of-life changes to this version. For example, players will be able to command their summoned units to move to a certain spot by the press of an analogue stick.
Will it be possible to play through Inquisitor - Prophecy's new story with the three original classes?
The first chapter of Inquisitor - Prophecy's campaign is only available to the Tech-Adept. It is an introductory chapter to the new class that shortly ties into the story of the Alpha Pariah. The following two chapters are playable with all four classes. But since the three base classes pick up roughly where they left off, you can only play through these remaining two chapters with a Crusader, Assassin or Psyker, if you have Inquisitor Martyr and finished Inquisitor - Martyr's campaign. Seasons will be available to the Tech-Adept as well, and will be part of both the base game and the stand-alone expansion, as additional story content.
Will Inquisitor - Prophecy release with the updates and events which are already available on PC?
No, at release, Inquisitor - Prophecy will include the new campaign story and the new summoner class. We will be adding events and further updates later.
Will I understand Inquisitor - Prophecy's story without playing through Inquisitor - Martyr's campaign first?
During the Tech-Adept's introductory missions, there'll be a proper explanation of the events of Inquisitor - Martyr. So if a Tech-Adept is your very first character, you'll be briefed about all the previous events. Regarding the other three classes, you'll need to finish Inquisitor - Martyr's story campaign first.
Will Inquisitor - Prophecy be part of the Season Pass on consoles?
No. Inquisitor - Prophecy is a proper expansion pack with a new playable class and a new campaign, much bigger than our previous mission DLCs.

Inquisitor - Prophecy has appeared in the Microsoft store everywhere.
Those we are located in the US please make sure to re-check the US store as a little display problem got corrected and Prophecy is available now there as well.
GIMME
You should be able to see it in the Xbox store now! PS release is round the corner!
@STEELWOLFE please check Omicron he should be back now!
@LANCIA12 @THEBLACKFROG usually Xbox games are out by midnight (if not then at 10 AM CET) so within less than an hour. Regarding PS4, this depends even on the locations. In the US it will take at least 6-8 more hours and it should be the same in the EU stores as well.
What does Feb 13 exactly mean? it is 23:00/11pm here in germany now. can i buy the dlc in one hour or "anytime" tomorrow?
I don't mean to sound ungrateful for all the awesome hard work that you put into this, but I spent $80 for the Imperium Edition just so I wouldn't have to spend further funds on this. So I'm just a slight bit perturbed that I won't get much consideration for the money I've spent on the game already when it comes to the "Proper Expansion Pack".
No insult meant in any of that. I truly enjoy the gaming experience that you Peoples have accomplished with this game... and I'll probably wind up spending the money to get it. Better spent on a game I enjoy than one I don't know.
