Console Targeting

8

Im lvl 28, power 702. Iv been playing for a couple of days now and the targeting in this game is downright dumb. You cant access a cogitator unless there are no enemies in sight or your character will NEED to kill them, It feels like your character wants to attack whoever is behind the pack of enemies all the time.

One other issue iv ran into is executions, there's a whole tree dedicated to them but i challenge anyone to execute the enemy when the prompt pops up when there are other enemies around. I could go on and on.

This is my first post, anyone else got any movement related issues?

Try your character going for supplies when you have the psyker book instead and can't get him to do anything but walk over to the supplies he cannot pick up, blow up or do anything with.

Hey all,

We're aware and already working on a fix for the targeting issues - and a few other minor bugs -  on consoles.

wow so you can respond? So how about you start explaining to your console customers where the missing features (limb dismemberment or destructible environment which you even showcased in the gameplay traile) are? Is this how you value your customers? I paid 80€ for the Imperium Edition and the game does not even the features we were promised.. And now there are rumors flying around that some features are not even coming anymore and yet...... complete radio silence from you devs. Why bother now that you have our money, right? I have an Xbox One X btw and when I read the description of your game alone on top of watching the trailer I want to do is puke my guts out over how you deliberately lied to the entire console customer base, ignore us and give us the impression that you happily take our money but that's about it. I paid 80€ and that is how you treat us? It's a disgrace. You should feel ashamed

The targeting is messed up on Xbox One. Case in point, the missions where you have to interact with a console or a gun battery. If there is ANYTHING else that can be targetted, such as an enemy or supplies/meds, then you cannot break that targetting to interact with the object. There needs to be a way to shift targets or cancel the current target. It is extremely annoying when you are trying to extract data or disable a gun battery and your character wants to run halfway across the screen to interact with something other than what you are trying to do.

This one frustrates me as well. I had to destroy one of the fluid tanks on a map before I could activate one of the cogitators because my character was so enamored with smashing the environment.

Same. I gave up at trying to aim especially when the screen is filled with enemies. The idea of locking is simply unpractical when there are that many enemies and add to that certain enemies cannot be locked at all (bug?).

However, even if they fix all the bugs, the non-existent variety of maps, enemies and the terrible itemization just killed my enthusiasm. I stopped playing after 4 days.

All in all, a mediocre ARPG that nobody will remember one year from now.

yeah, I've had a few terrible times with the targeting, except my issue is the exact opposite of yours, my character will ignore enemies or any "hold A to use" objects if there is a chest near by. though the cause if this is a simple fix, the devs just need to vastly reduce the distance from the chest you need to be to activate the prompt to open it from the half way across the room that it is now to having to be right at the chest to get the prompt to open it.
