Ancient Relic unlocks

14

I have an Ancient Relic Suppression Shield and one of the unlock requirements for it is

Deal Physical damage (0/50000)

Nothing seems to increase its counter from belt items, armor skills, weapons, or the shields Discharge ability.

I also have an Ancient Relic Grav-Pistol that has the same unlock and while it does progress, it's exceedingly slow.

ie: if I get a 1k crit or even a 1k base damage hit it only counts about 10 damage towards the progression.

Edit: Ancient Relic Grenade Launcher and Ancient Relic Heavy Flamer

Since Ancient Relics cannot be re-rolled I thought their mods were suppose to be inline with the main mod which in this case sorta true, however for a Physical damage weapon this doesn't help at all

Adds a Vulnerability to the target based on the damage type on Critical Hit. - ok

9.1% chance to add Warp Vulnerability on Warp Skill Hit. - SAY WHAT?

9.3 Crit chance - ok

17 crit damage - ok

Also why are there Warp Vulnerabilities on Warp Skill Hit on Ancient Relic Weapons that are Heat or Physical?

@TREECARGARAGE‍ Well, its way more ambitious from a production standpoint than both the helsing games. And then to basically redesign the entire game for 2.0... They may have bit off a tad more than they could chew properly. Considering the size of the studio its a little amazing that it works as well as it does. Persistent online games are hard to make, and very easy to screw up. I just try to manage my expectations and enjoy the game for what works. It has fantastic story and world building, with a high appreciation for 40k lore. The constant bugs frequently ruin immersion, but even with the warts its easily one of the best 40k games. Ever play Chaosbane? Its a warhammer fantasy ARPG, its almost exactly like martyr in gameplay, its basically GW's fantasy universe version. I have both, and i can say It has much higher production values, better graphics, and way less bugs, almost none that ive noticed. And yet, martyr is the better game. Its more fun and realizes its version of the source material way better, as well as having much deeper gameplay.

I really wish it worked better, i wont say i dont mind the bugs, but if you can get past them theres an amazing game there.

It's not an ability or buff it's a requirement to do Physical Damage on an Ancient Relic item.

I was just in a bitter mood when I posted that. I've put in hundreds of hours...

I did buy Chaosbane, but I uninstalled it after an hour or so. I thought it was absolutely devoid of any soul. Frankly, I thought it was terrible. I am judgmental, though, so maybe I was too hard on it and didn't give it enough of a chance.

I defended this game for a long time, but the people who made fun of it for containing so many bugs were right.

This game is poorly programmed.

I will never buy a Neocore game ever again.
