Behind the scenes: some things you wanted to know about the hero of The Incredible Adventures of Van Helsing.
I might go out on a limb on this, but I’m fairly sure that if you are reading this, you are already familiar with The Incredible Adventures of Van Helsing.
But who is our Van Helsing, you might ask.
The core concept originates from Bram Stoker’s Dracula, and it is loosely based on the character of Van Helsing from the book, the legendary vampire hunter. However, he is not that Van Helsing and this is not that Europe. This game is set in a similar universe that resembles Europe in the 19th century, where monsters, magic and weird technology is real.
To add another twist, our protagonist is the son of the legendary Van Helsing who takes over his father’s duties. He was trained to slay monsters and rescue innocent souls – he is quite confident in his abilities as a hunter but he has to face entirely different monsters and make totally different decisions.
